Theresa is a proven leader in special education with a record of improved student outcomes. As a Director of Partnerships, Theresa leads the implementation and execution of state, district, and school level support structures related to inclusive education.

Prior to joining SPED Strategies, Theresa served as the assistant commissioner of special populations for the Tennessee Department of Education.  There, she led state level initiatives designed to improve implementation of special education programs.  These included initiatives aimed at improving access to general education for students with disabilities and improving the quality of instruction for students with significant cognitive disabilities.

Theresa began her career as a school psychologist and served in multiple leadership roles at the state and district level.
